In 1988, Paul Ghotra embarked on his career in manufacturing engineering after relocating to Vancouver, Canada. He began his journey with one of British Columbia’s leading high-tech companies, which, over the course of 15 years, grew from a small startup with just 10 employees to a major player with 5,000 employees. This transformative experience ignited Paul’s enduring passion for business growth and his commitment to navigating complex challenges.
Paul’s path into engineering was influenced by a deep-rooted aspiration instilled by his father, who envisioned him becoming an engineering pioneer. Tragically, his father passed away when Paul was still young, but this loss became the driving force behind his lifelong mission to honor his father’s dream. Paul pursued his education at a renowned technical institute, specializing in precision mechanics, instrumentation, and manufacturing engineering.
Two decades ago, Paul founded CIMTech Green Energy, marking a pivotal moment in his career. Since then, he has been instrumental in guiding engineers from high-tech industries through the complexities of Design for Manufacturability (DFM). His focus is on implementing sound design principles that are both economically viable and efficient. Recognizing the significant impact of time as a cost factor, Paul emphasizes the importance of optimizing both manufacturing and development timelines to accelerate the market readiness of products.
Throughout his career, Paul has actively engaged in new product development cycles, collaborating with engineers to improve part designs for manufacturability. From the initial proof-of-concept phase to full-scale production, his extensive experience has provided invaluable insights into cost reduction strategies during the early stages of the design process.
